History & Values
Our History
It all began in 1963, when the Presbytery of the Cascades partnered with the Lloyd Corporation to build a continuing care retirement community in the Lloyd District near downtown Portland. Their vision came to life in 1967 when Holladay Park Plaza opened its doors and has been a sought-after retirement destination ever since.
In 1999, Holladay Park Plaza joined the Pacific Retirement Services family of affiliates. This affiliation allows Holladay Park Plaza to better serve and improve the lives of residents, with improvements such as comprehensive renovations and remodeling (including new apartments), and adding many convenient services and amenities.
Vision Statement
Holladay Park Plaza strives to be a fulfilling retirement community where people can age with dignity and live life to the fullest every day. It’s more than just a place to live—residents work hard to create a tight-knit and inclusive environment where everyone feels like family. Our people are full of energy and passion for their community, and we do our best to ensure there are always plenty of ways to get involved.
