FAQ

You’ve got questions.

We’ve got answers. We’ve assembled some of the most common questions asked by prospective residents, their families, and friends. But if you have a question you don’t see addressed here (and we bet you do), just let us know. We’ll get you a reply in a jiffy—we might even add it to this page. Or just give us a call at 503-288-6671 and let’s talk!

Here, you’ll have plenty of neighbors to keep you company. Our community includes 182 Independent Living apartments, 36 Residential Living apartments and 51 Skilled Nursing beds.

Absolutely! We offer a range of apartments in Independent Living, including studios, one bedrooms, one bedrooms with a den, two bedrooms, and two bedrooms with a den.

Of course! Well-behaved dogs and cats are welcome in Independent Living spaces (leashed or carried in the common areas, please!). And even though they don’t have four legs, birds and fish are invited too.

Your Entrance Fee and Monthly Fee cover your whole lifestyle! That includes your accommodations, dining plan, and all the amenities and activities in our Fitness Center and pool. A full calendar of activities includes wellness classes and sports, educational seminars, regularly scheduled health screening clinics, affinity groups, and transportation services. To see a complete list of what’s included, visit our Pricing page.

Not to worry. Variety is the spice of life, and spices are the key to great flavor. We have two Independent Living restaurants: Bistro 1300 for breakfast, lunch, and grab-and-go items; and Bridges Dining Room for à la carte dinner service and Sunday brunch.

In Residential Living, Terrace Café serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In Skilled Nursing, Irvington Café also offers three meals daily.

We love a good challenge! But seriously, our chefs are exceptionally trained to handle our residents’ needs. We can offer salt-free and items without other seasonings; daily vegetarian and vegan options; and we always have gluten-free options in our Independent Living dining.

The way we move around here, you won’t have to stress about that. Holladay Park Plaza has scored a 93 for walkability, 100 for bike paths, and a 77 for easy transit, so you can get around with ease.

Beyond that, we offer a fully equipped Fitness Center with exercise machines, free weights, and strength training equipment specially designed for seniors. Join any and every class that inspires you including our popular aqua aerobics, tai chi, mat yoga, and our enthusiastic Water Volleyball team! If you need additional wellness services, we can also arrange for acupuncture, personal fitness training, and physical, occupational, and speech therapies. Visit our Health and Wellness page for a full list of classes and activities

Are you ready? Here we go:

We are essentially a one-stop shop as a Life Plan Community. There are two fees associated with becoming an Independent Living resident at Holladay Park Plaza: the Entrance Fee and the Monthly Fee.

Your Entrance Fee is partially refundable (prorated) for up to 36 months, and comes with the peace of mind of free, unlimited short-term stays at the on-site Skilled Nursing facility. This fee also provides discounted rates at the Resident Care Facility and Skilled Nursing.

As for your Monthly Fee, it’s almost easier to list what’s NOT included. But we’ll try to summarize: This amount covers the cost for us to provide and maintain all our services and amenities every month (it varies by apartment size and whether there are one or two residents per space). So one simple fee covers utilities, housekeeping, dining plan, home and appliance maintenance and repair, Wi-Fi, unlimited use of the Fitness Center and pool, a portfolio of activities, clubs, and classes. To see a complete list of what’s included, visit our Pricing page.

Your safety is our top priority. Holladay Park Plaza has a 24/7 front desk receptionist as well as security cameras throughout the property. We contract with roving patrol on-call security through Securitas. Our community is also equipped with an access control system that automates exterior entry well as to interior spaces such as staircases, elevators, and other entryways.

Each building provides secured covered parking for a monthly fee.

We offer a shopping shuttle twice per week and rides to appointments (free within a 5-mile radius).
